View details about what earthquakes are, where and why they occur and the damage they cause. There are good pictures accompanying the explanations. This is a commercial site, but the information is clear and simple.

 

 

Volcanoes Exhibit
This site is more for older children. It explains how volcanoes form and why they erupt. The site has a lot of activities for you to do, from melting a virtual rock, to deciding if it’s safe to build a house near a volcano.
